Parent Boosters Mission:
As a community of committed caregivers, we provide support, encouragement, and perspective to the Youth Chorus of Kansas City leadership team in their work to teach, inspire and empower our young singers to be life-long music makers who seek excellence in everything they do.
Parent Boosters Vision:
We will accomplish this by acting as a vehicle to enable parent/caregiver engagement and support. This will include our showing up, sharing ideas, and promoting the growth and development of Youth Chorus of Kansas City.
Showing up:
Offer support to the choir staff and Choir Board by chaperoning events and offering other help where needed.
Serve as an active and visible group that encourages and enables parent/caregiver engagement.
Sharing ideas:
Work as liaisons between, council, singers, board, and leadership
Promote communication and good relationships between all divisions of singers and leadership
Communicate with parents/caregivers to enable them to become informed about choir activities and events
Promoting growth and development:
Provide new parent support and information sharing
Consider fundraising opportunities to support the financial stability of Youth Chorus of Kansas City
Build larger community of parents volunteering and actively participating in Youth Chorus of Kansas City events and community outreach
Interested in joining?
All Youth Chorus of Kansas City households are eligible for free, general membership in the Parent Boosters upon enrollment in any ensemble in the Chorus. Join us during our monthly meetings to see what we are all about!
When we meet:
The Council meets during rehearsals on the 3rd Monday of the month through the regular season August-May*

*Committees may meet outside of those meetings. For example, the Fundraising Committee may meet the first Monday of the month during rehearsals.
